About

I’m a grad student in Boston. I started this blog to track my adventures while spending the summer in Ames, Iowa, and to prove that there’s more than corn in the midwest. Now I’m back on the East Coast (it’s crowded here!), and I’ll be posting whenever the mood strikes about things like sustainable agriculture, food systems + planning, politics, liberal worldviews, sleep issues, and music. My roommate calls me a guru of the internet, so sometimes I’ll just be sharing the good news of whatever I’ve come across lately.

Current header photo: sunset over corn fields in central (ish) Iowa.

Old header photo: conservation tillage (new crops coming up through last year’s crop residue) on a field somewhere in Illinois or Iowa.
